Sheikh Abdullah and Waltz reviewed cooperation between the UAE and the United States across several fields. They also discussed the strategic partnership between the two countries. The talks covered ways to support coordination in forums linked to peace, security and development. The United Nations role formed part of the discussions, as both sides addressed cooperation through international institutions.

The meeting also reviewed regional developments, including the repercussions of Iranian attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of sisterly countries. The discussions covered their impact on international peace and security, energy supplies, maritime security and the stability of the global economy. Sheikh Abdullah expressed appreciation to the United States for its full solidarity with the UAE after the attacks.

    Regional security issues reviewed

The talks included the latest developments in Sudan and Lebanon. Sheikh Abdullah and Waltz discussed ways to promote sustainable regional peace and security through collective action. They also reviewed efforts aimed at supporting stability and prosperity for people in the region. The discussions took place as regional files remain central to diplomatic engagement across the Middle East.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Sheikh Abdullah affirmed the strength of longstanding ties between the UAE and the United States. He also noted the continued development of their strategic partnership. The meeting highlighted shared work across vital fields that serve mutual interests. It also placed security, stability and prosperity at the center of regional and international cooperation.

    Strategic partnership in focus

The UAE and the United States maintain wide cooperation across diplomatic, economic and security areas. The Abu Dhabi meeting placed that partnership within the broader framework of multilateral diplomacy. Waltz attended in his role as the United States envoy to the United Nations. His visit added a UN-focused dimension to the latest round of bilateral engagement.

Yousef Manea Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States, attended the meeting.
